Our Story

LIFE Run Club was inspired by my three children and my desire to give them—and other kids in our community—the opportunity to experience what running has given me.

Running has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I participated in youth races as a child and went on to run competitively throughout middle school, high school, and college. I still continue to love and appreciate running today.

Some of my favorite memories came from the fun, friendships, and excitement surrounding the sport. But running also taught me lessons that carried through other areas of my life.

It taught me how to set a goal and work toward it. How to push myself when something was difficult. How to compete. How to handle both success and disappointment. And how consistent effort can take you somewhere you couldn’t get to on talent alone.

Those are lessons I want my own children—and every child who joins LIFE Run Club—to have the opportunity to experience.

LIFE Run Club is a place to run, play, work, make friends, and have fun, while enjoying all the numerous benefits that are obtained from running. Where that foundation eventually takes each child will be different.

Some may run simply because they enjoy it. Some may use what they learn in other sports. And some may eventually compete in middle school, high school, college, or beyond.

Whatever their path, we want them to leave LIFE Run Club believing that setting goals, putting in the work, and challenging yourself can be rewarding—and fun.
